  1. I think that El Deafo deserves two thumbs up. I believe this book deserves two thumbs up because the author wrote about herself and how she grew up deaf, after losing her hearing at a young age. I was so impressed that the author was able to share her personal experience with the world. This book shows the importance of accepting others and that it is okay to be different. I think this is a good lesson for everyone to learn.

    1. Samantha, you are right! The Tiger Rising is a book with a very serious problem. All of the details also help you really picture the book as you are reading it. Kate DiCamillo is a wonderful author for details!
